Reporting to the European Central Engineering Director, you are active on green field plant constructions as well as on larger maintenance and improvement projects (<1M€). You work throughout the network of production facilities in the Knauf Group, which are considered as your customers. You develop, plan, coordinate and direct the execution of all phases of a project from concept to completion and customer acceptance. The emphasis of your activities is on the power supply and the electrical distribution. In particular you are responsible for next duties: - Establish clear written customer expectations and measurements of the objectives at the beginning of each project with the customer; - Respond to day to day issues requiring design engineering; - Design and implement plant specific projects not handled by local engineering team; - Manage multiple projects: - Analyse various options for all phases of project execution and establishes a project implementation plan; - Manage engineering, planning, control, procurement, and construction personnel; - Manage project changes to minimize cost, timing and performance impacts; - Serve as the focal point between the customers, project team, and contractors; - Manage contractors/suppliers; - Deliver the objectives of the project on time, within budget tolerance, and meeting usability; - Insure reporting towards the project team, engineering management, and the customer. - Maintain competency and state-of-art knowledge in pertinent aspects of engineering disciplines; - Recommend improvements to the process and equipment; - Train and mentor other engineers. You have a university degree/industrial engineer level in electricity (High Voltage) or equivalent trough experience. You have a successful professional background of minimum 8 years in project management and/or in industrial maintenance. Experience in electricity (High Voltage and Distribution Systems) is mandatory. Fluency in English is required. A good knowledge in French, Dutch or any other European language is a valuable asset. You are ready to travel up to 30% of your time for short duration periods (average is 1 week).
