You are responsible for the Automation department (6 persons) and directly respond to the Technical Director of Vesuvius. You are in charge of the implementation of the existing regulation/automation processes developed by the company and also of bringing new technologies and ideas to develop the products. Your main tasks are to: - Develop the department: - Manage the team in terms of planning, competencies and budget management; - Develop and lead a knowledge database to capture lessons learned and best practices for automated equipment; - Support his colleagues on technical matters; - Identify an indicator package (KPI) and be measured against these metrics. - Manage processes: - Discuss the specifications with the final customers; - Engage the Engineering team to co-ordinate and provide input for new product/process designs; - Approve the manufacturing drawings; - Develop software adaptation; - Be responsible of the installation and commissioning of the equipment including tuning of the parameters; - Manage the testing of the installation. You have an Engineering degree Electromechanics, with an orientation in Automation and at least 5 year of successful experience in automation in heavy industries at an international level. You have a good knowledge on Electric/Electronic regulation and PLC programming (Siemens, S7 ). An experience in the hydraulic and/or pneumatic field is an asset. You are well organized, energetic, flexible and self-motivated, with an analytical mind and practical mechanical feeling. You have good communication skills at all levels of the organization. Fluency in French and English is required. If you speak any other European languages, it is a valuable asset.
