As Regulatory Affairs Director, you manage a team of regulatory professionals to ensure that Knauf Insulation European facilities operate technologies, systems and services according to company Health, Safety, Energy, Environmental and Sustainability policies and within regulatory compliance. In particular you are responsible for next duties: - To direct, manage and control the activities of the Regulatory Affairs Department personnel across the Knauf Insulation European business. - To develop company level policies and procedures for senior management approval and application. - To develop, operate and maintain an Integrated Management System for administrative control of the company's Health, Safety, Environmental, Quality, Energy and Sustainability activities, including advisory support and a helpdesk. - To identify, assess, communicate and implement operational best practices, good management practices and regulatory changes and to migrate them efficiently and safely into new or existing facilities. - To agree and progress improvement plans with facility managers. - To audit, measure, benchmark and make management reports on facility performance. - To provide relevant training and appropriate documentary support to new and existing facility staff. - To provide energy management services to facilities and to audit and benchmark energy use. - To provide post-commissioning improvements in the management systems of new plants. - To develop and install safe systems of work, particularly for construction projects. - To carry out, with consultant support, EHS due diligence evaluations of potential business acquisitions. - Where appropriate, to represent the Company in Trade Association activities. - When required to carry out or support negotiations in the Company's interests with external bodies e.g. Environmental and Health + Safety Regulators and Legal Representatives, having to work in several languages using interpreters. You ideally have a degree or a similar professional qualification in Health and Safety Management with a least 6 years experience in a manufacturing environment and experience in an equivalent role. A relevant environmental qualification would also be advantageous. You have a good technical knowledge of manufacturing processes, safety and environmental control techniques and the legal requirements which apply to them. Moreover are familiar with a wide range of legal and regulatory disciplines and you have a sound understanding of the ability to manage health effects of materials, products and their components in a manufacturing environment. An experience with Integrated Management Systems is certainly an asset. You have a demonstrated ability to manage a team of professionals across a wide geographical area.
