Description The role of the General Manager involves taking the day-to-day responsibility for the operations of the company. The General Manager will be highly exposed to the commercial activities over the following covered regions : Benelux, France, Germany, Austria, Italy and Scandinavian countries. He/She is responsible for maintaining & developing a strong network and true partnerships with distributors in the defined regions in order to generate interest and grow brand awareness of the company in Europe. The General Manager will : - Develop and implement the European business strategy over the dedicated region - Work close with existing distributors, define the objectives, follow and support the growth, assist daily the Sales Managers on the field. - Manage and promotes product introductions such as to create market visibility, maximize profits, grow revenues and market shares - Support business growth by implementing a marketing plan per defined country - Collect and analyze market information, identify the sales leads and visit the different distributors throughout your region to identify appropriate potential new partner/distributor. - Explore with the Sales Managers ways to improve the sales performance. - Analyze sales to determine sales potential over both existing & new markets and inventory requirements and monitor the preferences of customers. - Manage the European subsidiary (P&L, cash collection, management) - Has a minor involvement in Logistics and Production operations. You have a university, or Masters degree or equivalent. You acquired more than 10 years of strong sales and business development experience in a BtoB international environment, ideally in a consumer environment. You are fluent in English. German or French is an asset. You have a strong personality and a positive attitude. You have sales drive & passion, are performance driven, have a "get the job done" attitude, are hands-on attitude and flexible. Excellent communicator, you aren't afraid of challenges, are dynamic and entrepreneurial. You have a helicopter view on the organization and a good understanding of business processes. You have strong leadership abilities, proven track records and performance in the industry. Attainment of results through people management. Flexible, you are willing to travel up to 60%.
