| Description |
Purpose of Role: Responsibility for the efficient and effective management of the General Ledger functions in EMEA. Processing and recording of transactions to meet internal management reporting needs (US GAAP) and Swiss statutory and fiscal requirements. Main Responsibilities: - Responsible for reviewing and approving daily sub ledger accounting activities in the system and preparation of the GL schedules and transactions. Lead month end closing process in accordance with US GAAP reporting standards. - Ensure legal and corporate compliance for each fiscal jurisdiction, main focus on statutory compliance for Europe. - Assist with all external audit activity for both US and local GAAP. - Ensure compliance with Sarbanes Oxley, specifically managing and monitoring the annual assessment and testing processes regarding internal controls and documentation. - Work closely with finance team, developing and maintaining relationships with external fiscal authorities (tax/vat). - Supervise the EMEA Cost and Benefits Accountant and the EMEA - Expense Accountant on a daily basis, providing performance coaching and feedback as necessary. - Review and amend global accounting processes within the Swiss - Shared Service Centre on a regular basis in order to improve service, compliance and financial performance in an integrated manner. Other Requirements and Skills: - Qualified Accountant: CPA, ACCA, CIMA or ACA or the international equivalent. - SOX 404 compliance experience a plus. - Minimum 7 years experience, 3 within in an international accounting environment. - Knowledge of US GAAP required; knowledge of Swiss, French, Italian GAAP a plus. - Management experience. - Strong analytical skills. - Ability to set priorities and coordinate multiple projects. - Strong accounting systems/user level knowledge, SAP a plus. - Strong computer literacy, including outstanding MS Office skills. - Self-motivated and able to work under minimal supervision. Skills - Excellent technical, analytical and communication skills; - Strong negotiation and presentation skills; - Strong interpersonal skills; - Fluency in English and in 2 others European Languages (one Southern European, one Northern European) Our Client is a world leading Company EMEA Headquartered in Neuchatel.
