You will manage a team of almost 20 to 30 persons performing assembly and test operations of one of our main product families with a large variety of electro-mechanical high-precision products. You will be based in Palézieux and report to our Production Manager. You have also to: - Oversee the production to ensure that it meets agreed production plans, product quality and cost standards. - Direct and control the production team members to ensure that they are appropriately trained, motivated and developed and carry out their responsibilities to the required work instructions. - Assure compliance with health, safety, hygiene and environmental standards. - Day-by-day production management based on a Lean approach (Lean leader standard work): Daily Gemba walks; review of visual controls, performance trend charts and KPIs; daily accountability process for adherence to 5S, standard work and process improvement work. - Drive the implementation of Lean manufacturing and the development of a Lean culture. - Perform systematic problem solving; develop and implement any required changes to process, tools and equipment to continuously improve product quality and operational performance. - Lead Kaizen events on the shop floor. - Provide technical assistance to the production team, for changeovers and machine start-up. - Control and manage inventory and contribute to the incoming inspection of raw material. - Assemble and test solenoid valves for prototype and special series. - Assure TPM on the production equipment. - Contribute to a successful and timely introduction of new products into production through participation in APQP projects. You, degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial or Micro-technology Engineering or equivalent, have a solid 5+ years experience in managing a production line for electro-mechanical precision products in a Lean (TPS) environment, preferably in the automotive or high-tech field. You have also hands-on experience in implementing Lean and quality tools on the shop floor: 5S, VSM, Standard work, Kanban, Mistake-Proofing, SMED, TPM, problem solving, APQP, FMEA; SPC and Six-Sigma would be a plus. Successful track record of achieving sustainable cost and quality improvements by implementing Lean Manufacturing in automatic and manual assembly & test operations Practical experience in leading KAIZEN events on the shop floor Pragmatic, hands-on approach with the will and passion to drive improvement actions on the shop floor together with the team Strong analytical skills; availability to work in a two-shift environment Above average drive and energy; strong and proven leadership and interpersonal skills Rigorous and systematic work style; result oriented and committed to meet objectives Fluent in French and English (oral and written), German is a plus MICHAEL PAGE CONTACT : Your application will be sent to Christophe Grabielle (Geneva Offi |
