| Description |
Reporting to the Commodities Manager, you will be responsible for: - Driving total cost reduction while securing sufficient capacity and specified quality - Delivering contractually and commercially sound purchasing products, assets and services for your commodities - Developing a commercially and geographically optimised supplier base - Defining, developing and deploying sourcing strategy in cooperation with operational units - Managing capacity with key suppliers, conducting worldwide market research, and negotiating frame agreements and project-related contracts - Cost monitoring and the actively managing and minimising of supply risks - Improving relationships with both internal and external partners The ideal candidate for this challenging position has: - A university or equivalent degree in Engineering - Additional Education in Sourcing/Procurement is strongly appreciated - Minimum of 2 years of working experience in a similar field - Additional knowledge of forging, and/or metal markets - Strong commercial and engineering skills - Fluency with MS Office applications and ERP systems (preferably SAP) - Excellent analytical and negotiation skills - Extremely proficient when it comes to solving problems - Prepared to travel between 20 - 40% - Fluent in English (written and spoken) mandatory - Fluency in German is considered a strong plus - French language capabilities would be advantageous MICHAEL PAGE CONTACT : Your application will be sent to Jennifer Smith (Zurich Office) Please quote the reference RJSM19176 Our client is a global key player in the Energy Sector with over 40,000 employees worldwide.
