| Description |
The Director of Accounting will coordinate the activities of the country accounting departments for the accurate and timely dissemination of financial management reports including, but not limited to, internal and external monthly financial statements, annual audits, annual budgets, and reports as required by regulatory agencies. The role will evaluate both administrative and accounting controls and report to the Vice President and Controller on compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley standards and on issues which require strengthening of internal controls. In addition, the Director of Accounting will provide timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial reports and financial trends in order to assist the Vice President and Controller and other senior executives in performing their responsibilities. This includes preparation of reports that summarize and forecast company business activity and financial position in areas of income, expenses, and earnings based on past, present, and expected operations. The position will also have responsibility for establishing and maintaining systems and controls which verify the integrity of all systems, processes and data, and enhance the Company's value as well as evaluate and advise on the impact of long range planning, introduction of new programs/strategies and regulatory action. The position will require 80% travel. The suitable candidate will have completed their Bachelor's degree in Accounting as well as be registered as a Certified Public Accountant , Chartered Accountant, or equivalent. Ideally, the suitable candidate will have more than ten years of hands-on accounting managerial experience in a related service industry, with at least some experience in a large U.S. services company. Hands on experience with USGAAP, and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance is required. He/ She will be fluent in English and be able to speak several European languages. The position requires extensive travel throughout company offices in continental Europe, the United Kingdom, and Norway. This role will require 80% travel.
