As a Nitric Acid Process Engineer, you will be working within the Process Unit at the Yara Project Office (YPO) as the technical expert on Nitric Acid for all the Yara plants. YPO comprises the engineering department of Yara and provides technical assistance for big global investment projects (ranging 1 million euros - several 100 million euros). You are active in setting acquired sites to Yara standards, the revamping of existing sites and greenfield plant constructions. Your role is to: - Process engineering and chemical plant design activities, - Plant optimisation and modification projects, - Giving technical assistance to operations, including troubleshooting, - Sharing of best practices with other production units within the Yara. As a design and calculation expert, you have a university degree in chemical process engineering or equivalent. You have at least 1 year of experience, ideally in a Nitric Acid plant. However similar experience with other processes (ammonia, ethylene) can also be considered. Experience with simulation tools and methodology in process engineering (for plant trouble shooting and process and equipment design) is certainly an asset. You are fluent in English, possess excellent communication skills and interact well with people from different cultures. You are able to work independently but are keen on sharing knowledge with colleagues. You are flexible, as the position requires regular global (40%) travelling.
