In the increasingly competitive world of the tyre business, CBS IT plays a critical role in the success of the company. We are looking to reinforce our EDI team to better support the company and its ambitious future plans. The EDI team consists of dynamic professionals who are encouraged to share knowledge and insights. You will have the opportunity to work in a challenging environment.In close interaction with business departments, you are taking an active role in EDI project implementations. Your main responsibilities include: - Analyse EDI requests from customers, business partners and internal sources - Design, Develop and Document EDI links - Monitor, Maintain and Update existing EDI links - Testing - Training local IT support and key users and Provide second level support Key Areas: 1. Design and Develop EDI links - You will design and develop to the SAP Core System external EDI-links with our internal and external partners based on standards and specifications defined by or with the partners. - You are able to discuss with our external partners in a 'customer care culture' spirit. - You document processes and applications in the EDI-area. 2. Monitor, Maintain and Update existing EDI links - You ensure seamless integration of the EDI messages into SAP and to other systems. - You focus on high reliability and ease of maintenance. - You ensure the required levels of security are respected at all times. - You ensure a high level of standardisation and re-usage of the installed links. - You monitor the EDI systems for communication and translation errors. 3. Testing - You will co-ordinate testing with EDI partners and internal project coordinators (e.g. within the MIS team or in the local companies) 4. Training and Provide second level support - You will co-ordinate training, usage and implementation of the EDI software tools together with the local companies. - You will provide fast and effective second level support - You provide constant feedback on project status and requirements to your manager Master degree in business-related field or computer sciences. Professional Experience: - Minimum of one year experience with the Integration of EDI-links to internal and external customers and suppliers into an ERP-system, preferably SAP (Release 4.5B). - Knowledge of ALE / IDOC, BAPI if possible - Knowledge of ABAP programming or other language preferred - Knowledge of an EDI-converter, preferrably SAP XI/Seeburger - EDI standards like EDIFACT, TRADACOM, , VDA, EDIWHEEL etc. - XML knowledge required English spoken required Working in an international environment, must be a team player. Able and willing to do limited travel.
