| Description |
As Construction Manager, you are the final responsible for the civil works on construction projects of new factories in Eastern and Western Europe. You provide a complete functional organization, staffed with competent and experienced Construction Engineers and supported by qualified and experienced contractors and you liaise engineering, procurement and construction activities in order to : - Ensure the timely and required quality of detail design in accordance with the project contractual obligations; - Ensure the timely and required HES, quality and cost performance of contractors in accordance with their contractual obligations; - Ensure the timely mobilization and demobilization of field activities; - Ensure the timely communication of construction administration, controls and modifications with Project Manager in accordance with contractual obligations. In particular you will have to : - Plan, organize and direct the field activities; - Plan the structure of the field construction organization and take part in the selection of his team; - Plan for the most effective use of key staff; - Consult the Project Manager on project construction plan and working methods, field staff requirements, contracts manning requirements, field budgets and construction schedules; - Ensure the adherence to project control procedures related to the field (cost, schedule, quality) and construction HES procedures; - Ensure construction information flows to him; - Represent the Project Manager to the client on site; - Organize project construction start-up & follow-up meetings; - Organize and preside over the safety committee to ensure that the work is executed according to the HES plan by all employees; - Intervene in unsafe acts and situations and initiate corrective actions on basis of own observations or on instigation of construction staff. You are an Engineer with more than 10 years of experience in a supervisory position in a construction team in an international context. You have a VCA basic HES training or similar. You are fluent in English and have a basic knowledge of Ukrainian / Russian to negotiate and coordinate local sub-contractors. You are a strong manager in touch with the field and in control of the project and its budget and you have strong communication skills both in written and in spoken form. You are proactive, independent, persuasive and proficient in leading, training, and facilitating teams. You have a professional attitude. You are ready to work at least 18 months on a project in Fastiv, Ukraine. Later projects across Eastern and Western Europe will follow.
